We are sorry that your grill is having issues igniting. Are you seeing any sort of spark coming from the electrode? This is the rod that is right next to the burner. It will be a very faint spark. Best time to troubleshoot this would be in a shaded area, or during the twilight hours.
- If you are not seeing a spark, have you followed the black wire to the back of the valve to make sure it is plugged into the valve tightly, as well as the igniter? It just plugs into both parts, so you will want to try pushing on both areas and trying one more time to see the spark.
- If you see a spark, then the igniter is working. From there, you may have to play with adjustment to find the perfect spot for it to light. I have found that works best for me is to adjust the electrode as close to a hole (without going over) and having it over the burner about an 8th of an inch. This will help it arch better.
- Also, make sure you are only opening your propane tank about a half turn, not all the way. This will ensure you are getting the proper flow of gas to the unit.
After trying these things, let us know if it is still not lighting. It could be that you need a new electrode of this is the case.
